The Two Worth Acting On

SHOKZ OpenRun Pro at $109.95, and Soundcore P30i at $24.99 — for opposite reasons.

The Shokz is the largest genuine drop here. We recorded it at $159.95 through early August, and it has been at $109.95 since the second week of September. That is fifty dollars off a price it genuinely held, on a bone-conduction headphone that normally never discounts far. Its deal is listed as ending on 17 September.

The Soundcore P30i is the opposite kind of find: cheap, and cheap consistently. Our record has it between $24.99 and $29.99 all summer, with one week in late August at $49.99. Today's $24.99 is the lowest we have seen it — but note what that means for the crossed-out figure, which is covered below.

The One That Is Four Cents

TOZO HT3 is badged as a limited-time deal at $29.95. Every price we have recorded for it is $29.99.

Four cents. The struck-through figure beside it is $49.85, a price we have never once observed it selling at. This is not an accusation of anything unusual — list prices work this way across the category — but it is a clean example of why the percentage on the badge is not information.

The headphone itself is not the problem. It is a reasonable budget pair with a long quoted battery. Buy it if you want it; just do not buy it because a countdown says the price is about to rise, because our record says it has not moved.

Why the Crossed-Out Number Misleads

The P30i is the clearest case on this page.

Amazon shows it as reduced from $49.99. Our record has it at $27.99 in early August and $29.99 a week later — and at $49.99 for a stretch in late August, before falling again. So the list price is not fiction here; it is a price the product briefly carried. But a discount measured from a week-long peak is not the same as a discount from what a product normally costs, and the headline percentage quietly relies on the difference.

The V20i shows the softer version. It is badged down from $49.99 and sits at $26.99 today. We recorded it at $29.99 on every check through early September, so the real saving against its own habit is three dollars, not twenty-three.

This is the whole reason we keep our own prices. A figure that says "was $49.99" tells you about the listing. A record that says "it has been $29.99 for six weeks" tells you about the purchase.

SHOKZ OpenRun Pro

Cancelling earbuds with a case that doubles as a phone stand — a gimmick that turns out to be genuinely useful on a train. The cancellation is budget-grade, which is to say it dulls engine noise and does nothing about voices. For under thirty dollars that is the correct outcome. The headphone is a competent budget over-ear with a long quoted battery, and it is worth what it costs — it simply is not on sale in any sense that should change your timing. BENGOO G9000 Stereo Gaming Headset

$19.96, and this one genuinely moves around. Our record has it at $19.96, $19.99, $20.99 and $28.99 at different points in the past seven weeks, which is unusually volatile for a product this cheap.

One We Cannot Judge Yet

The Soundcore AeroFit 2 is on a deal at $79.98, ending 15 September, and we have no price history for it at all.

It entered our catalogue too recently for the record to mean anything, so we have nothing to check the discount against. That is not a warning about the product. It is the honest limit of this method: without a history, a crossed-out number is all anyone has, and it is not enough.

How to Use a Deal Badge

Check the seller. Every deal on this page except the TOZO and the BENGOO is sold by the brand's own store or by Amazon directly, which is the simplest guard against a third-party listing at a worse price.

Ignore the percentage. It is computed from a list price, not from a price history. The figure that matters is what the product has been charging, and Amazon does not show you that.
