What the Transducers Actually Fix
Bone conduction transmits sound through the cheekbone and leaves the ear canal completely open. The mechanism is the entire reason to buy it — traffic behind you stays as audible as it would be with nothing on your head — and the price it pays is bass. Low frequencies need a sealed canal to build pressure, and there is no canal involved here at all.
The Pro adds dedicated bass transducers, and they help. Music sounds fuller and less hollow than on the standard OpenRun, which is the most common complaint about the format.
They do not make it a bass headphone. Better low end for bone conduction is still not low end in the sense a sealed driver means it, and anyone arriving from ordinary earbuds will notice immediately. The gap narrows; it does not close, and no design can close it while the canal stays open.

Two things temper it. The bass improvement is relative — this is still bone conduction, and it will not satisfy someone coming from sealed earbuds. And the water rating goes the wrong way against the cheaper model, which is an odd position for the more expensive running headphone to be in.
Buy it if the open ear is non-negotiable and you mostly train indoors. If you run outdoors in weather, the standard OpenRun is both tougher and cheaper, and that is a difficult combination to argue against.
